11 tracks, 5 days. Review from Oliver Amberg

Back in May I had the pleasure of recording drums for Oliver Amberg [Kissing Lucifer] on his latest album. With this clocking in at album number 4, this is not the first time I have had the pleasure of working with Oliver

“It feels like he’s a real band member even though we never met.”

“Max Saidi recorded 11 tracks within 5 days. He never heard the songs before. That means he had 5 days to learn and record the songs. I am really thankful and appreciate his great drumming that brought (again) our songs to another level. It’s not a big secret that I am using drum samples on our albums. For me it’s just easier to have the opportunity to change snares, whole kits etc. than to have just one drum sound. This time I used the Bob Rock Drums for “Vertigo”. What a thunderous sound.

Max is recording in London while I am waiting for his tracks in Switzerland. He has all artistic freedom and I just give him some inputs. It’s already the fourth production we are doing together and it won’t be the last. He’s an extraordinary musician and I’m happy to work with him. It feels like he’s a real band member even though we never met. Thanks Max for make it happen once more.

Here’s a little excerpt of his work…”
