As a remote session drummer, I recently had the pleasure of working on a new album for Obey Robots, a band made up of Ned's Atomic Dustbin and Penfriend (Laura Kidd). The album "One In A Thousand" is an innovative and exciting project that blends music, art, and technology to create a unique and immersive experience for audiences.

The album was entirely self-released on Penfriend's own record label, and it even went to no. 5 in the official UK midweek album charts, which is an impressive accomplishment for an independent release!
Recording remotely was the perfect solution for this project. As a drummer, I could record all of my drum parts from my studio and send them back to the band for mixing and mastering. This allowed us to collaborate on the project despite being in different locations. It was a great example of how technology can enable remote collaboration across distances.
As a drummer specialising in remote recording, I'm always looking for new and exciting projects to work on, and "One In A Thousand" was absolutely no exception!
Thanks for having me guys :)
