Spotlight: Defying Gravity, Megan McKenna
March 10, 2024
Earlier this year, Megan McKenna decided to put her own spin on one of the most iconic songs in the world of Broadway and West End shows – 'Defying Gravity' from the hit show 'Wicked'.
Give it a listen below :)
The drum tracks were, as always, recorded entirely remotely via this website.

I recently had the pleasure of recording drums on Chris Manning's latest album, "Reach The Sky" . Chris and I go back many years, having worked on multiple projects together. Chris is a Dallas-based guitarist, songwriter, and session player, and his new album features some heavy-weights, such as vocalist and co-writer Cris Hodges (Grey Daze, In The End). The album also features a stellar lineup of guest artists, including legendary guitarist Bruce Kulick (KISS, Grand Funk) on "Fly Over The Walls" as well as Hungarian-born blues guitarist Tommy Katona on the instrumental "Texas Smoke". Bruce Kulick also served as the album's creative consultant. Thanks for having me, Chris!

I recently had the pleasure of recording drum tracks for composer and music producer Michael Nielsen. Michael is known for creating captivating scores for films, TV, video games, and ads. He's composed for major game franchises like Forza Motorsport and League of Legends, with his Splinter Cell: Conviction score being particularly influential on the game's success. Michael also runs Ninja Tracks, a top music production company in the USA for film and gaming ads, with projects including John Wick 4 and Jurassic World. He's also made a mark in the music industry, producing Selena Gomez's hit "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" and collaborating with renowned artists like James Brown and Lenny Kravitz. He's a pretty big deal! So as you can imagine, it was with great pleasure that I was asked to record some drums for this incredibly popular YouTube Channel, 'Big Hairy Guitars'. His channel features demonstration videos for some of the world's premier music instrument companies and videos on mixing and mastering.
