The service
WantDrums.com is operated by Max Saidi and provides remotely recorded drum and percussion performances. The scope, price, expected turnaround and any optional extras will be confirmed for your project before recording begins.
Quotes and turnaround
Quotes are based on the track length, arrangement and complexity described at the time. A first preview is often available within 24 hours, but this is an estimate rather than a guarantee. If a project is likely to take longer, I will tell you as soon as practical.
Revisions and approval
Reasonable revisions are included before approval so we can arrive at the right performance. Only the final approved take is included in the agreed delivery unless otherwise confirmed. Preparation of earlier or alternate takes may carry an additional fee.
Your payment confirms that you approve the performance and delivery agreed for the project. Changes requested after payment may be quoted separately, normally at up to 50% of the original session fee depending on the work involved.
Payment and refunds
No deposit is normally required. UK clients may pay by bank transfer and other clients receive a secure card-payment link. Because you approve the work before paying and the files are made specifically for your song, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
Usage rights and credit
Once full payment is received, the approved recordings may be used for the purpose agreed for your project. Standard artist and music releases are normally supplied on a royalty-free, work-for-hire basis. Please credit “Max Saidi” or “WantDrums.com” where credits are published.
Advertising, broadcast television, film or TV synchronisation, library music and other commissioned commercial uses may require a separate written rights or royalty agreement. If your intended use falls into one of these areas, contact me before release so the terms can be agreed clearly.
Files, delivery and storage
Approved files are delivered through a secure file-transfer service. Download links may expire after 14 days. You are responsible for downloading and backing up your files. Project materials are normally retained for 30 days after delivery and cannot be guaranteed after that period.
Your materials
You confirm that you have permission to send and use the song, recordings and reference material supplied for the session. Your materials remain yours and will only be used to carry out the project, communicate with you and meet legal or administrative obligations.
Ending a session
Either party may end a session before approval. WantDrums.com may decline or stop work where communication breaks down, the brief changes substantially, rights are unclear, or continuing would be unreasonable or unlawful. Any payment already due for separately agreed work remains payable.
Liability and governing law
Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded. Otherwise, liability connected with a project is limited to the amount paid for that project, and WantDrums.com is not responsible for indirect loss or for files lost after the stated storage period. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in place when your project is agreed will apply to that project unless we both agree otherwise in writing. Questions can be sent to max@wantdrums.com.
